....The less you know, the better....

The less you know, the better. To be philosophical, to be dogmatic, to be doctrinaire – this is easy.
To tackle a problem intellectually is very easy. But to tackle a problem existentially – not just to think
about it, but to live it through, to go through it, to allow yourself to be transformed through it – is
difficult. That is, to know love one will have to be in love. That is dangerous because you will not
remain the same. The experience is going to change you. The moment you enter love, you enter a
different person. And when you come out you will not be able to recognize your old face; it will not
belong to you. A discontinuity will have happened. Now there is a gap, the old man is dead and the
new man has come. That is what is known as rebirth – being twice-born

OSO dialogues

Ladies and Gentlemen,

Thanks. Thanks very much.
I feel like the King of the World.

Ladies and Gentleman,

Aaj iss baat ka bhi yakeen ho gaya ki humari filmo ki tarah humari zindagi mein bhi
end thak sab kuch thiik he ho jaata hai. Happies ending.
Aur agar thiik naa ho, tho wo The End nahi... picture abhi baaki hai mere dost, picture abhi baaki hai.

I love you, I love you all!!....

Sochna Kya - Ghayal (1990)

Hehehe... The tune of song "Sochna Kya" (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lzmHuoKlHX8) was "borrowed" from the latino hit of '90 "Lambada" by Kaoma (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5AfTl5Vg73A)

  • At the end of the 1989 summer, a couple of French business men came to Brazil and bought the musical rights of about 300 lambada songs. They went back to France, and created the Kaoma Band and generated a lot of money on marketing, turning Lambada a world-wide known style, reaching even the far east of Japan in which Lambada is danced until nowadays.Lambada entered the global mainstream when the French pop group Kaoma recorded a number one worldwide summer hit "Lambada" which sold 5 million singles in 1989. In Portuguese the Lambada song is called Chorando se foi which means the one who left crying. In the music video, there were two young children, named Chico and Roberta, performing the lambada dance. They shortly thereafter started their own musical career. The Lambada song was actually an unauthorized translation of the song Llorando se fue (1982) (which means: the one who left crying), from the Bolivian group Los K’jarkas.

lekin mujhko Hindi lyrics bahot pasand hai aur it's more meaningful than the Latino version.

Sochna kya jo bhi hoga dekha Jaayega
kalke liye aaj ko na khona aaj ye na kal Aayega
Sochna kya jo bhi hoga dekha Jaayega
Jo hona hoga hoga wahi sochke thu kya Paayega

Saath hai hum sab isse badi kya Khushi
Thoda muskuraavo thoda Gungunaao ........Isi kaa hai naam Zindagi
Saath hai hum sab isse badi kya Khushi
Koyi na jaane kab aajaaye gadi bicchad Jaaneki

Sochna kya ....................

Woh hai insaan hansthe gaathe jo Jiye
Zindagi salaamat pyar ki hi neemat............Aur hume kya chaahiye
Woh hai insaan hansthe gaathe jo Jiye
Chehron mein Chaman pathjad mein Bahar .........Hothi hai uske Liye

Sochna kya................

Reason and passion...

"...Among the hills, when you sit in the cool shade of the white poplars, sharing the peace and serenity of distant fields and meadows - then let your heart say in silence, "God rests in reason."

And when the storm comes, and the mighty wind shakes the forest, and thunder and lightning proclaim the majesty of the sky, - then let your heart say in awe, "God moves in passion." ..."

U, Me Aur Hum (2008)

First off, I wanna say I like it. It was unusual experience of Bollywood.
The man. Ajay Devgan is good and he turned out to be a good actor as well as good director. The movie is well directed and taking in account 2.5 hours (as usual) my behind didn't scream to get hell out of there. There were a few cheesy lines, but...c'mon!
The woman. Kajol. I like her. I like her in Main Hoon Na and I like her here, she is definetely has built-in drama. Somehow, I'd say Kajol wasn't the only one powerful woman role in the movie, there was a ensemble: Isha Sharwani, Rituparna Sengupta, Sarika and Divya Dutta. Dunno much about them, but I like the most Isha Sharwani (U Me Aur Hum (2008), Good Boy Bad Boy (2007), Rocky (2006), Kisna (2005)), may be because of her dancing skills :-)
The soundtrack. The mixture of Latino rhytms with Hindi language :-) Sounded good to me :-)

Now, I heard that Ajay Devgan made UMH after "The Notebook". It's been on my desk for almost one week and a half (not enough time), lekin main vah film dekhuga.

The first day at Pier 61

OMG! It's been already four hours since all those tumblin', jumpin', fallin', rollin' were finished and my head still is not in the right place, not head exactly but brains :-)
The stretching wasn't that brutal as I expected (thank you to http://bollywoodfunknyc.com class), but abs and push ups bootcamp-style was hard. During 1.5 hour I practised handstand, roll forward, handstand and roll froward, roll backward and push up (sucked!), cartwheel (so-so), front flip from handstand and backflip with arms.
So..what's important I took with me from there....let's see:
1) Handstand
a) one of the most important skills in gymnastics is a good solid tight handstand. Without it a majority of other skills will suffer. (nice! positive thinking!)
b) the handstand should be as tall as possible. The gymnast should be stretching upwards towards the ceiling and staying hollow. A gymnast should be able to look at their toes while in a handstand. Doing this requires the handstand to be tight and hollow. (that's easy to say! tips is when you reach vertical position look at the toes - it allows to suck abs in and eventually create a hollow position)
c) the best way to get comfortable in a handstand is to do a lot of handstands. (no doubts!)

2) Handstand forward roll
nothing special to say except keep practising a perfect tight and hollow handstand - arms straight!

3) Backward roll to hanstand push up - place arm as far as possible and push up legs as soon as you see the toes.

Stretching...and soreness and injury.

I found very well written article which I agree with.

"So is it wise to stretch when you are sore? It really depends on the goal of the stretch. If your goal is to increase flexibility, you'll likely do more harm than good.
If your goal is to relieve the soreness, light stretching is a great idea. Keyword: [LIGHT] Avoid isometrics and static-active stretches during these times, soreness is a sign of muscle tissue damage. Stretching exercises like these can compound the damage and delay recovery. Stick to light dynamic or relaxed stretching and perform only enough to feel relief. If we are talking about injury, you can probably do some slow dynamic stretches, or some gentle relaxed stretches, possibly some static-active stretches, but again: DO NOT focus on flexibility gains during these times. Avoid all exercises with strong muscular tensions as well as any movements at the maximum range of motion. When a muscular injury heals, it heals at a shorter length. Very light stretching, preferably light relaxed stretching, could help prevent an excessive loss of flexibility and sometimes relieve pain. Following an injury, it's essential to regain lost flexibility to prevent relapse. But, on a final note: DURING INJURY OR SORENESS - YOUR GOAL SHOULD NOT BE TO INCREASE FLEXIBILITY / ONLY RELIEVE PAIN OR PREVENT EXCESSIVE LOSS OF FLEXIBILITY. "

Hindi. Gender matters...

  1. yah ladkaa meraa chotaa bhaaii hai -> This boy is my little brother
  2. yah ladkii merii chotii bahin hai -> This girl is my little sister
  3. meraa betaa thiik hai lekin merii betii biimaar hai - My son is well but my daighter is sick
ATTN: The speaker of the three sentences above could be either male or female: THE GENDER of MERAA/MERII DEPENDS ON THE THING OR PERSON POSSESSED, NOT THE POSSESSOR.

aapkAA betAA kaafi lambAA hai
aapkII betII bahut sundar hai

Invariable adjectives:

zindaa - alive
shadii-shudaa - married
